Recently, Michael Drossner obtained a non-custodial sentence for a client that was, initially, facing a 10-year mandatory minimum sentence for shipping methamphetamine from California to the Philadelphia region. Based on his client’s life circumstances, as well as the client’s limited role in the criminal activity, Michael convinced the government and the Court that incarceration was not necessary. Significantly, this accomplishment was picked up by the Philadelphia Daily News.

Once again, Michael Drossner is a volunteer member of the Advancing Civics Education (“ACE”) Program coordinated by the Philadelphia Bar Association and the School District of Philadelphia. Each month, Michael’s team, comprised of federal court Judges and other attorneys, helps teach a class regarding history and civics. This year, Michael will be working at the Academy at Palumbo, located in South Philadelphia.

Mr. Drossner was recently named a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” by The Legal Intelligencer and Pennsylvania Law Weekly. This award is bestowed upon lawyers under the age of 40 that “work tirelessly in their professional, personal and civic lives to improve the legal landscape and the future of others.” Mr. Drossner was one of only 30 lawyers from across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to be recognized this year.

Michael Drossner has been elected to a three-year term on the Villanova Law Alumni Association’s Board of Advisors. The Board is responsible for creating, planning, and organizing events for Villanova Law School’s Alumni Association.

Michael Drossner has been named an adjunct faculty member at Villanova Law School where he will teach Trial Practice to law students.

Michael Drossner, Esquire, was named one of ten members to the initial Villanova Law School Inn of Court Award Committee. The mission of the Villanova Law School Inn of Court is to foster excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility and legal skills for lawyers, and Mr. Drossner has been a member of the Inn since its inception. Mr. Drossner is the youngest member of the Award Committee, which is comprised of members of the bench, the bar and academia. The Award Committee is responsible for developing guidelines, criteria and a nominee for issuing this distinguished annual honor.

Michael Drossner, Esquire, was a Judge-instructor for the Temple Law School’s LL.M. in Trial Advocacy Program. The LL.M. program, which Mr. Drossner previously attended, is a graduate degree program for experienced trial lawyers. As a Judge-instructor, Mr. Drossner observed practicing litigation attorneys and critiqued their trial skills.

Michael Drossner, Esquire, was selected as a Pennsylvania Rising Star Super Lawyer in the field of White Collar Criminal Defense by Philadelphia Magazine and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Magazine. The Rising Star listing is the result of extensive research and polling of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, the top 5 percent of attorneys in the state. Super Lawyers are asked to vote for the best attorneys who are either 40 or under or who have been practicing law for 10 or fewer years. The final list includes the top 2.5 percent of the best up-and-coming attorneys in the state of Pennsylvania.
